Support requests
When you contact support, we receive your email address, message, selected topic, and any app, device, pack, or puzzle details you provide. We use this information to respond and investigate the issue, based on our legitimate interest in providing and protecting the support service, where permitted by applicable law. Do not include passwords, payment card details, or other people’s private information.
Website visits
The server processes your IP address and technical information about requests to display the site and prevent abuse. This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The site remembers your chosen language in a functional cookie for up to one year.
Puzzle progress and iCloud
The app stores puzzle progress and settings on your device. If you use iCloud sync, some progress and settings may also be stored in your iCloud account. Apple operates iCloud under its own privacy terms.
App analytics and crash reports
JapCross uses Google Firebase for usage analytics, crash reports, and app messages. Depending on the app version and configuration, these services may process installation identifiers, device and app information, puzzle and hint interactions, purchase events, and crash diagnostics. This helps us investigate errors and understand how the app is used. See Firebase’s privacy information.
Purchases
Apple processes payments made through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. The app uses purchase and restoration information to provide purchased content or hints. Apple’s privacy terms apply to the information Apple processes.
Service providers
Our hosting provider processes website requests and stores support requests on the server. Apple iCloud Mail processes support emails. Apple also processes iCloud and App Store data, and Google Firebase processes the app data described above. These providers may process information on servers outside your country. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
Data retention
The website server removes message text and reply addresses 30 days after the email service accepts a support request. Undelivered requests are kept for investigation until resolved. Private recovery snapshots are kept for up to seven days and respect recorded deletions. A minimal request-number record is retained to prevent duplicate processing. Email correspondence is kept while needed to resolve your issue, handle follow-up, or meet legal obligations. Technical service logs are kept for up to seven days. Apple and Google apply their own retention rules to the data they process.
Your requests
You can contact us about access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold. Your rights depend on applicable law. The privacy request page explains how to contact us and which information to include.
Updates and contact
This policy may be updated as the app or its data practices change. The revision date appears at the top of the page. The developer responsible for the processing described here is AVBelousov (Georgia). For privacy questions or requests, contact support@japcross.com.
